Ms. Hemlata Kheria, Member, NCW was Chief Guest at Mahila Sangoshthi at Alert Training Centre, Gogunda, Udaipur on 26.06.2013

Ms. Hemlata Kheria, Member, NCW visited Gogunda (Tribal belt), Udaipur, Rajasthan where Alert Sansthan organised a one day Mahila Sangoshthi with the Chief Guest Ms. Hemlata Kheria, Member, National Commission for Women. In the meeting approx. 200 tribal women came from different villages and Panchayats in Rajiv Gandhi Sewa Kendra. She interacted with them and discussed their problems. All female members shared their individual and village problems like Anganwadi Centre is not in approach of all the children of village, lack of connectivity to the road side, lack of drinking and irrigation water, hand pumps, lack of mobile van for delivery of child, complaint of not receiving BPL card. Non-availability of teachers in school. A group of women also shared about the dowry system in their culture. Mr. Mangilal Garasiya, State Minister also attended the meeting, discussed with the women group and assured that through the joint efforts of NCW, and Govt. Departments, problems will be sorted out.
