Dr Charu WaliKhanna Member NCW was Panelist in discussion on “Role of Women Panchayati Raj Members in the Safety of Women” on Women’s Day i.e. 8thMarch, 2013. The discussion was organised by Ministry of Women & Child Development at Vigyan Bhawan Annexe, new Delhi and attended by women members of Panchayati Raj Institutions from different States/Union territories, in addition to officials of the Ministry.
Dr Charu WaliKhanna Member NCW made a power point presentation on “Role of NCW and State Commissions on the issue of safety of women”. In addition to Dr Charu WaliKhanna, the Panelists included Sarpanch Ms.Chhavi Rajawat, Ms.Nandita Bhatla from International Centre for Research on Women, New Delhi and Ms. Suman Nalwa IPS, Addl. DCP, Special Police Unit for Women & Children.
