Ms. Shamina Shafiq, Member, NCW attended as Chief Guest - Sangoshti and Abhinandan Samaroh during a programme on “Krishi Vikas main Aakashwani ki Bhumika” orgnsied by Media Association, Meerut. On this occasion Member stressed on implementation of MNREGA which has an important impact on rural India. She told that farmers are an important part of our society. While expressing her views she told that only 51% of the people in the country have access to Sanchar Kranti and there is a need to create awareness among the farmers of the country about the Harit Kranti. She congratulated the farmers of the country on the Kisan day. She stressed on the need that female farmers should work neck to neck with the male farmers to get better results in the field of farming. Member suggested on the need to have a daily column in the local newspapers on the topic of rights of women.
