Dr. Charu WaliKhanna, Member, NCW was Chief Guest at Sarvodya Inter College, Biharipura, Sarvodya Colony, near Kamla Cinema, Ghaziabad on 21.07.2012. At the Legal Awareness Workshop organised by Marci Welfare Society Member, NCW released a Guide on “Protection of Women & Police”. Complimenting the NGO for helping women and making them aware of their legal rights Member, NCW said that women must not tolerate domestic violence but raise their voice when subjected to violence. The law provides protection to women but they themselves must be empowered enough to access justice through legal awareness. Member NCW stressed that dowry and female feticide are grave offences and for this society is responsible. 

Eminent speakers included Smt. Deepa Kaul, Ex-State Minister, U.P. Govt., Smt. Satya Behn, Ex-Member of Rajya Sabha, Smt. Sumitra, President, Pratap Vihar Mandal and Sh. M.S. Kaushik, Manager of Sarvodaya Inter College. Beside Sh. Narender Bhardwaj, Smt. Anjana Gehlot, Social Worker, Sh. Pramod Kumar Tripathi, General Secretary, Ms. Neelam Chauhan, Ms.Sunita Mishra, Dr. Mala Sharma, Ms. Rekha Pandey, Sh. S.K. Mishra, Sh. Sultan Singh and large numbers of women, including Sh. R.M. Sharma, Sh. R.N.P. Sinha, Advocates from Supreme Court and Sh. Ajit Singh and Sh. Charanjit Singh, Advocates from Civil Court, Ghaziabad were also present..
