Dr Charu Wali Khanna, Member National Commission for Women addresses women employees of United Bank of India on occasion of International Women’s Day

Dr. Charu Wali Khanna, Member National Commission for Women addressed women employees of United Bank of India on the occasion of International Women's day celebrated on 09.03.2012 at the Staff Training Centre, Scope Complex, Laxmi Nagar, New Delhi. 

In an informal interaction with the women Dr. Charu Wali Khanna, encouraged and them and said that its mostly always women who have the strongest yet quietest influence on us, through different roles performed in our life as mother, teacher etc. She said the Constitution of India guarantees equality to women, empowers the State to adopt measures for affirmative discrimination in favour of women, and also imposes a fundamental duty on its citizens to uphold the dignity of women. She also gave the participants insights for empowerment of women and their contribution to the society. 
United Bank of India, DGM & CRM Shri Vinay Gandotra and AGM Shri Sanjay Koolwal were also present on the occasion.
