The National Commission for Women has taken suo moto cognizance of the matter of the murder of sister Valsa John member of sister of charity of Jesus and Mary district Pakkur, Jharkhand allegedly by mining mafia. On the directive Mrs. Anita Agnihotri IAS Member Secretary, NCW visited Jharkhand on 27.1.2012 on the basis of the visit of Member Secretary and assessment of the facts of the case by the Commission the following recommendations has been made by the NCW to the government of Jharkhand.
