National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken suo moto cognizance of the incident and constituted an Inquiry Committee under Sections 8 (1), read with Sections 10 (1) and 10 (4) of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 to inquire into media report wherein reportedly a top official of Doordarshan sexually harassed a junior employee of Prasar Bharti.
