The National Conference organized by the State Commission for Women was one major step towards developing a roadmap to expunge the notions rooted in the rural areas regarding ‘witch-practices’ and thus ‘witch-hunting’. Eradicating the problem from its root require a synchronized strategy. The conference in this regard extended enough scope to delve through causes, measure the extensiveness and suggest remedies. The resource persons and the dignitaries discussed upon long term strategies that will have its impact upon health, education and livelihood through which it can influence the deep-seated beliefs and superstitions of the communities.
