The National Commission for Women celebrated the Centenary of International Women’s Day, 2011 on 11th March, 2011. The theme of the centenary celebration is “Access to Justice”

During this occasion, the Commission proposes to sign the Memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Delhi Police and different NGO’s in achieving the goal.

1. Delhi Police & TISS
* For setting up of Special Police Units for Women & Children in all districts of Delhi from April 1, 2011.
* For extension of existing MOU under the project “Save the Home, Save the Family”.

2. India Vision Foundation
* For facilitating redressal of complaints and participation in legal awareness.
* For training of general public as well as providing faculty support

3. Women Power Connect
* For providing advocacy for effective implementation of women friendly laws and access to legal aid.
