Ms. Kheria called upon for sensitization at level to mitigate the spiralling menace of Violence against Women. She suggested sensitization of police officers during training at National Police Academy to deal with complaints from women as most such cases need sensitive handling with due regards to the mental condition of the victims.

Similarly, she asked Media to be more sensitive towards such cases involving violence against women so as not to cause embarrassment to the victim and her family. It is because of fear of such embarrassment and social stigma involved that most cases go unreported.
