On 10th May, 2013 at 3.00 P.M., Ms Hemlata Kheria visited Mewar Girls College. It is a very big girls college in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan and has its reputation in the field of education. The Principal of the college and other officials/associates welcomed the Member for exchange of views with them on women friendly issues. Many students of the college were present at that time. 

In her introductory address, Ms. Hemlata Kheria defined the basic objectives of the NCW and also acquainted the participants with the main sections of the NCW Act which provide protection to the women. 

She exalted them to be brave and shed inferiority or fear complex that being female they are weak. Subsequently, she gave clarification on the issues raised by the students relating to violence against women, dowry, sexual harassment, child marriage etc. She hoped that meaningful dialogue will prove very useful to the students and sensitize them for their rights and made them legally aware.
