Dr. Zakir Hussain Foundation, Aligarh invited Member Shamina Shafiq, to the 10th Annual Function and National Seminar on "Vulnerability of the Contemporary Woman: Durrent Scenario" on Sunday, 12th January, 2014 at the A.K. Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.

The Chief guest of the occasion was Smt. Salma Ansari, Spouse of Hon'ble Vice President of India.

Smt. Salma Ansari in her address to the audience spoke about the strength of women to change and be the revolutionary force that they can be. National Commission for Women, Member Shamina Shafiq spoke on the importance of changing the mindset of people for better and an improved environment for the women. Violence on the basis of gender was condemned by her in her deeply motivated speech.
