Member, Dr. Charu WaliKhanna, was Guest of Honour at Grand Kavi Sammelan organized by Delhi Hindi Sahitya Sammelan and GK-II, RWA on 01.03.2014. The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest and local MLA, Shri Ajay Makan in august presence of ex Councillor Rakesh Gulliya, former Mayor and President Hindi Sammelan, Mahesh Chandra Sharma, President Ashok Bagga, Chairman Chetan Sharma, General Secretary, Manveen Bhatia and President Jahanpanah Club P N Chawla.

The poets were presented customary bouquets and Angvastram (Shawl/Saree) by distinguished persons and the programme sanchalika was famous Ms. Indra Mohan, Secretary, Hindi Sahitya Sammelan. Ms. Baljit Kaur Tanha noted poet regaled the audience with her hasya kavita ‘Jo log hanste aur hasaante hain; vo marne ke baad swarg nahi jaate; vo log to jahan baste hain; vahin swarg banaate hain’. Dr. Sarita Sharma also presented various forms of poetry. Kavi Sammellan Sanchalika Indra Mohan presented an emotional writing ‘Auran ki chinta bemaani; Apne man ko chinta kar; Bahar bahar bhatak raha hai; Apne ghar main tahra kar’. Chairman Chetan Sharma in reply said, ‘we ensued that this literacy manch should be like LAL QUILA level where pure literacy creations were allowed by legends like Gopal Pd. Vyas, Dinkar, Neeraj etc. The ‘Gyan Jyoti was lit till the end of the program.
