A programme was organized at Bank of India, Management Development Institute, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai on 23rd January, 2012 in collaboration with National Commission for Women. The 76 participants included women employees from all branches of Bank of India. The ‘Code of Conduct’ Poster for Zero Tolerance of Sexual Harassment at Workplace was released on the occasion alongwith the booklet. 

Introductory address was delivered by Ms. Sona Jamnagarwala, Faculty, Bank of India, Management Development Institute, Navi Mumbai. 

Welcome address was delivered by Mr. S. Venkatesh, Principal, Bank of India, Management Development Institute, Navi Mumbai. 

Dr. Charu WaliKhanna, Member, National Commission for Women, New Delhi delivered the Keynote address and chaired the main session. She extensively discussed the guidelines to prevent sexual harassment at the workplace and her address was very thought provoking, interactive and immensely useful to the participants. All the participants were of the view that more such programmes should be conducted. All participants felt that in future also more time should be spared by experts specially on women’s issues and if possible by Member NCW so that more such deliberations could take place and participants could derive greater insights. 

The feedback was uniform that the programme was very useful and more such interactions should be facilitated.
